HomeBase offers a wide variety of volunteer opportunities that give you the chance to make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk and homeless youth. |
| Helping Hands Volunteers Help us manage the much needed in-kind donations. Volunteers are needed to sort donations, identify useable items, and assist our In-Kind Specialist inventory the items. |
| Cooking Prep Volunteers Assist our full-time kitchen manager through preparation of meals and food bags. |
| Special Events Volunteers Assist with the promotion and development of HomeBase events in the community including the annual Door Way of Hope Dinner, annual Ride for Their Lives and other events. See the upcoming volunteer opportunities page for more information. |
| Tutoring Volunteers Develope one-on-one relationships with youth throughout the continuum of care by providing assistance with homework, GED preparation, and employment skills. * Must be at least 21 years old. |
| Volunteer Orientation We discuss the different opportunities available to you as a prospective volunteer, as well as complete the necessary paperwork for all program volunteers. Please contact the Coordinator of Volunteer Resources if you are interested in attending.

| Chef for a Night HBYS is looking for volunteers to prepare and serve dinner for youth living in our Transitional Living Center from 4 to 6pm. Opportunities are available 7 nights a week. Recipes and ingredients are provided. This is a great opportunity to get to know the HBYS youth! |
| Administrative Volunteers We are looking for professional and friendly volunteers to assist our staff in a variety of ways including filing, answering phones, data entry and more. This is a great opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes here at HomeBase. |
| Rise 'N Dine Start your Saturday or Sunday morning off right by providing a warm, wholesome breakfast for youth living in our Transitional Living Center. Pancakes, bacon, eggs or toast, serve this home cooked meal with a smile, and give them the energy to start their day off right! The breakfast opportunity is from 8 to 10am. |

HomeBase also offers group projects and has opportunities available for team-building and service learning. Corporate teams, youth groups, and other service groups are welcome to schedule a fun and rewarding project by contacting our Coordinator of Volunteer Resources.
