Eric is 19 years old and has lived at HomeBase Youth Services' Transitional Living Program for four months. His parents divorced about four years ago, and his mother voluntarily gave custody to the father, after admitting she was an unfit parent. Eric lived with his father for three years until one day his father said he was taking a trip to Mexico. His father never returned.

Eric moved into a group home, which serves youth 17 and under. When Eric turned 18, he moved into the Transitional Living Center at HomeBase Youth Services.

Eric has tremendous anger toward his parents, as well as serious abandonment and grief issues, and has been diagnosed with adjustment disorder, depression, and has difficulty with anger management. He is just beginning the process of healing the emotional abuse that he endured.
